Readymade garden room
Designing and installing the electrics in your garden room is all about combining functionality with comfort. Whether you're creating a home office, studio, or chill-out space, proper planning ensures safety and convenience. This starts with assessing the electrical load needed for lighting, power points, heating, and any specialist equipment. A dedicated sub-board from the main switchboard is usually run via armoured cable to the garden room, meeting all safety standards and local regulations.
Thoughtful design includes placing sockets where you’ll need them most, integrating energy-efficient LED lighting, and considering extras like outdoor lighting, data cabling, or smart automation. A tidy, well-executed electrical fit-out will make your garden room just as liveable and versatile as any room in the house.
Themed rooms
Reset can advise any themed room upgrade enhancing the atmosphere while ensuring practicality and safety. Whether it's a home office, gaming den, or retro-style lounge, the electrical layout should complement the room's aesthetic and function. This might involve upgrading existing circuits to handle additional load, repositioning outlets for better accessibility, and integrating specialty accessories like LED strip lighting, dimmers, surround sound systems, or smart controls.
Careful planning allows concealed wiring, custom switchgear, and thoughtful placement of lighting to elevate the theme while keeping everything smart and professional. It's not just about power—it's about bringing the vibe to life through Reset electrical innovation.
Maintenance
General maintenance in a residential home provides efficiency, advisory & safety continuity. Over time, electrical installations can wear down, develop faults, or become outdated posing serious risks such as power outages, equipment damage, or even fire hazards.
Routine maintenance helps identify and fix issues before they escalate, ensuring your installation are operating at peak performance and in compliance with current regulations. It also extends the life of your electrical infrastructure, reduces downtime, and can lower energy costs. In short, it’s a smart investment that keeps your workplace safe, productive, and future-ready.

EICR
An EICR (Electrical Installation Condition Report) is a vital document that assesses the safety and condition of a property’s electrical system. As a landlord, it’s your legal responsibility to ensure your property is electrically safe for tenants. The EICR checks for issues like faulty wiring, overloaded circuits, and potential fire hazards.
Following the inspection, you’ll receive a detailed report outlining any problems and whether the installation is satisfactory or if remedial work is needed. Current regulations require landlords to have an EICR carried out at least every 5 years or with each new tenancy. Staying up to date not only keeps your property compliant, it keeps your tenants safe and gives you peace of mind.
